    FAQs

    • What is a mobile RWC and do I need one?

A mobile RWC is Queensland’s official roadworthy certificate issued at your location by a licensed inspector. You need one when selling a vehicle, transferring registration, or re-registering an unregistered car. We come to your home or workplace, complete the inspection, and hand you your mobile roadworthy certificate on the spot if your vehicle passes. Service starts from $85 across the Sunshine Coast.

    • How much does a mobile roadworthy certificate cost on the Sunshine Coast?

Our mobile RWC inspections start from $85 across the region, including Noosa, Maroochydore, Caloundra, and the Hinterland. The price covers the inspection, your Safety Certificate if you pass, and travel to your location. No hidden fees, no surprises. Payment is taken after the inspection and we accept cash, card, or bank transfer.

    • Can you do a mobile roadworthy inspection the same day?

Yes, same-day service is available if you book early enough. Morning bookings before 10am usually mean we can inspect in the afternoon. We prioritise urgent requests for vehicle sales and registration renewals. Calling us directly gets you the fastest answer.

    • Do you issue the roadworthy certificate immediately?

If your vehicle passes, we issue your Safety Certificate right there on the spot. No waiting, no coming back later. The roadworthy certificate is ready to hand to buyers or submit to Queensland Transport straight away. If your vehicle doesn’t pass, you get a detailed written report listing exactly what needs attention. You choose where to get it fixed, then call us back for the re-inspection.

    • What’s the difference between RWC and COI?

An RWC (Safety Certificate) is required when selling a vehicle, transferring registration, or re-registering. A COI (Certificate of Inspection) is specifically for hire vehicles like Uber, taxis, and limousines, and needs to be renewed every year. COI inspections cover more ground than a standard mobile RWC. We do both types across the Sunshine Coast.

    • Can mobile roadworthy certificates be issued for trucks and caravans?

Yes, we inspect all vehicle types including cars, motorcycles, light trucks, heavy trucks, caravans, motorhomes, and trailers. For larger vehicles we bring the right equipment and carry out HVRAS inspections when required. On-site mobile RWC inspections save a lot of time for commercial operators who can’t afford workshop downtime.

    • Why choose a mobile roadworthy certificate over a workshop inspection?

With a mobile RWC, we come to you, there’s no conflict of interest because we don’t sell repairs, and you get flexibility to book at home, at work, or roadside. Workshop inspections often come with upsell pressure because they profit from finding faults. We have no workshop and no parts department. Our only job is issuing honest roadworthy certificates.

    • How long does a mobile roadworthy inspection take?

Most mobile RWC inspections take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the vehicle type and its condition. Cars and motorcycles are generally quicker, while caravans and trucks take a bit longer. We check brakes, lights, steering, suspension, tyres, and everything Queensland Transport requires for your Safety Certificate.

    • What areas do you cover for mobile roadworthy certificates?

We cover the entire Sunshine Coast including Noosa Heads, Tewantin, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters, Caloundra, Palmwoods, Montville, Maleny, Nambour, and all Hinterland communities. We also service Gympie, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, parts of Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.
